Stepcouple Chats, hosted by Susan Swanson, allow stepcouples to meet with other stepcouples to talk about the issues of stepfamily life. The chats will meet the second Saturday morning of each month, beginning Saturday, January 9. Space is limited, so sign up now!

The StepFamily Center is here to help you have a successful remarriage with children. The center offers in-person marital counseling services to help stepfamilies navigate their new roles, and S.O.S. for StepCouples, a seminar with useful tips to help couples succeed. A 5-Part Series for Couples in StepFamilies

S.O.S. for StepCouples is designed to provide help and useful tips for success to couples struggling through stepfamily dynamics. Through presentations and interactive discussions, the five classes will cover:

If you feel you need one-on-one counseling to help you navigate stepfamily life, The StepFamily Center is here! We provide counseling to those who are remarried with children, as well as anybody trying to find their place in a stepfamily. Coaching sessions are held in Beverly Hills or Torrance.

Anatomy of a StepFamily: Why StepFamilies are
Different from Nuclear Families

While 52% of Americans are in a stepfamily system, they continue to be treated by therapists using a nuclear family template. This 1-1/2 hour presentation will help therapists learn the fundamental differences between a stepfamily and a nuclear family, including their unique stages of development and issues that affect each member in a stepfamily system.

Public Speaking Engagements

Executive Director Susan Davis Swanson is available for public speaking, radio and television appearances. In addition to working with stepfamilies, Susan has more than 15 years of experience working with trauma, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and couples issues. She utilizes EMDR, somatic techniques and spirituality to help her clients move forward and experience the relief they deserve.
