Hey kids, as you have already figured out, being in a family that experienced a divorce is pretty complicated stuff! Everything changed! Mom and Dad no longer live together. Sometimes you may have even felt stuck in the middle of things or had feelings about the divorce that you weren’t sure were “okay” or “normal." But somehow you were able to work though the changes, even if it was tough, and come out all right in the end.

But now, here we go again! Mom or Dad has decided to get remarried or move in with someone new. Another change! Another family! Again, feelings around this are bound to come up and anything and everything is a normal response to change, good and bad. So, here at the StepFamily Center, we take kids’ questions, just like the ones you might be having right now, and answer them. So take your time to explore and, hopefully, get some answers about how to handle this new transition in your life.
