Susan M. Davis, LCSW, BCD (Founder and Director). Susan is a licensed clinical social worker in the State of California (LCS 19087), in practice for more than 10 years. She not only specializes in the Stepfamily, but in helping people work through depression, anxiety, trauma, family problems, couples problems and difficulties that impact teens. She utilizes knowledge of systems theory, couples communication theory, EMDR for trauma, and psychoeducation from Stepfamily research to help people and families. In addition, Susan’s personal knowledge of Stepfamily issues has enabled many in Stepfamily life to find understanding, support and relief.

Havi Wolfson, MSW (Assistant). Havi is a clinical social worker in Los Angeles. She works with couples, young adults, adolescents and kids. She has run groups for “Kids in the Middle” and understands the impact of divorce and subsequent remarriage on children. Havi uses her clinical knowledge of family systems, couples communication and childhood issues and focuses her work with children and teens. She brings a unique understanding to these issues, and is a valuable contributor to this website.

MISSION STATEMENT
To provide support, education and understanding of the Stepfamily to all members of a Stepfamily and for all people about to enter Stepfamily life. To advocate for the Stepfamily and the need for all professionals who come in contact with Stepfamilies to better understand their dynamic and the issues unique to this population for all members affected by Stepfamily life - the parents, children, aunts, uncles and grandparents.
